Eleanor Jean “Jeannie” Lazzari, 87, of Belle Vernon, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 18, 2022, in Grandview Estates of Elizabeth. A daughter of the late Stanley and Lena Belczyk-Coates, she was born on April 7, 1935, in Belle Vernon. Jeannie was a graduate of Marion High School, Class of 1953. She was retired from the former First Federal Savings Bank, where she worked as a teller for 35 years. She was a member of the former Pricedale Union Church, where she was a children’s Sunday School teacher and nursery volunteer. Jeannie was an avid card player, belonging to two card clubs for over 60 years. She and her friends enjoyed playing cards and going on several vacations together. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Rio J. Lazzari, on Feb. 16, 2022. She is survived by her brother, Ron (Joyce) Coates of Boise, Idaho. She was the proud mother of two sons, Tom (Bebe) Lazzari of Rostraver Township and Darren Lazzari of Belle Vernon; and a loving grandmother of one granddaughter, Taylor Lazzari. Visitation and services will be private. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
