Karen A. Rockey – Houston

Karen A. Rockey, 77, of Houston, passed away on April 6, 2022, at Transitions Healthcare of Washington. She was born in Charleroi, daughter of the late Albert J. and Mary Ann Sanbouryne Salvino. She was a graduate of Monessen High School and the Greater Greensburg Salem Practical Nursing Program. Karen had been employed as a licensed practical nurse at Washington Hospital. She was an active member of the Washington County Blind Association (now Vision Services of Washington-Greene County) and the Washington County Council of the Blind. Karen was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas M. Rockey; and a brother, Ronald Salvino. Surviving are her daughter, Katalin Rockey of Brownsville (fiancé, Patrick Anderson); and her sister, Marilyn Kuhn of Virginia Beach, Va. She is also survived by two sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law, four nephews, one niece and one great-niece. Memorial contributions in Mrs. Rockey’s name may be made to the Washington County Council of the Blind, 2131 E. National Pike, Scenery Hill, PA 15360. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
