Area man held for trial in New Year’s shooting

A Belle Vernon man accused of fatally shooting a woman in Rostraver Township early New Year’s Day has been held for court after several witnesses — including his girlfriend, who is a co-defendant in the case — testified during a preliminary hearing Monday.
