Spazak was on paid leave before retiring

Monessen City School District’s former superintendent was on paid administrative leave prior to her retirement July 1, according to a separation agreement that took the place of “uncertain termination hearings (and) litigation” to end her employment. After the district accepted Dr. Leanne Spazak’s retirement without releasing details of the agreement or her retirement letter publicly, the Mon Valley Independent submitted a Right to Know request for a copy of the agreement.
