Elizabeth Borough to crack down on junk and abandoned vehicles

A crackdown on messy property owners who violate borough code ordinances and abandoned vehicles could bring more income to Elizabeth Borough. The consensus at Tuesday’s council meeting was that too many residents are leaving junk in front of their homes and on sidewalks.
“Driving and looking around—I noticed that we need to get things cleaned up around here,” said fire Chief Chad Rager. “The other day I went down to the boat launch, there were trailers, trucks on the grass like someone owns the place. We can’t let people do that.”
