Jesse M. Herron, 21, formerly of Belle Vernon, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Aug. 20, 2022. A son of Chris and Keri Kostelac Herron, who survive and reside in Belle Vernon, he was born in Monongahela on May 30, 2001. Formerly of Belle Vernon, Jesse recently moved to Elizabeth. He was a 2019 graduate of Belle Vernon Area High School and was a member of the Star Junction Fish and Game Club. Jesse had been employed as a steelworker for U.S. Steel Irvin Works for two years. He was most proud to be a part of the U.S. Marine Reserves, having been recently promoted to corporal and placing first in the U.S. Marine shooting competition. He loved riding his motorcycle and working on his old cars, playing pool, camping, floating on the river, and putting a smile on everyone’s face. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Jacob Herron (Caitlyn) of Morgantown, W.Va.; a sister, Jaiden Herron of Belle Vernon; his fiancée, Courteney Protos of Elizabeth; maternal grandmother, Kathy McFall of Belle Vernon; paternal grandparents, Carl and Sandy Herron of Conway, S.C.; two uncles and an aunt, Sean (Laura) Herron of Belle Vernon and Ronnie Kostelac of Fairhope; and his best friend, who was always more of a brother, Josh Melisko of Belle Vernon. He will also be missed by his two dogs and three cats, especially his favorite, Rosie. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Joseph Kostelac.
