Area towns short on police

In line with nationwide trends, police departments throughout the Mon Valley are facing labor shortages and a struggle to recruit and retain officers. Part-time police work is now being sought in Clairton, East McKeesport and the boroughs of Brownsville, Elizabeth, Glassport, Liberty, Lincoln, Port Vue and Versailles. Still more police departments in the area may be looking to hire officers.
