Cook seeks fourth term in newly drawn 50th District

The biggest change that legislative redistricting had in the Mon Valley this year is arguably the elimination of the current 49th District and introduction of the new 50th. State Rep. Bud Cook, R-West Pike Run Township, currently holds the seat in the 49th and is running for re-election in the 50th against Democrat Doug Mason of Waynesburg.
