Laux’s two-way play key to title

With his team trailing by four points late in the second quarter of Friday’s WPIAL Class 3A championship game, Belle Vernon Area defensive end Braden Laux chased down Avonworth quarterback Nathan Harper on a second-down play deep in Antelopes’ territory. The 6-5, 215-pound standout finally got to Harper for an eight-yard loss, forcing a third-and-long situation.
