Donora woman searching for kidney donor

Living with stage five kidney failure for two and a half years, Freda Heilman misses one thing especially. “Bacon,” she said. “If I could eat one thing, it would be bacon. Sometimes I even get jealous when I see other people eating bacon. If I could sit down and eat a normal meal, it would be fabulous.”  The 29-year-old Donora native has made a lot of changes since her surprise diagnosis in 2020.
