Rostraver Township hired two new police officers Wednesday.
The board also announced yesterday that no property tax increase was required in order to balance its 2023 proposed budget, one that projects $8,163,890 of revenue. The proposed budget will be advertised this week, available at the township building for inspection and posted to the township website.
The Rostraver Police Department came out in full force for the board of commissioner’s meeting Wednesday, with nearly every officer on staff showing up to support the newest additions to the force.
Austin Hritz of Rostraver Township, and Brandon Gorski of Belle Vernon were unanimously approved as new police hires yesterday. They will be sworn in by Magisterial District Judge Charles Christner on a date yet to be determined.
