Cougars edge host Rams in MVI Shootout Classic

Ben Shields and the Chambers twins helped carry the scoring load for Charleroi in a 55-46 victory over the hosts from Ringgold in the opening game of the Mon Valley Independent Shootout Classic Friday afternoon. One of the Cougars’ most experienced returning players from last year’s team, Shields netted a game-high 22 points, including nine in the fourth quarter to help secure the season-opening win.
