Charleroi council members explain why $2M ABC offer was rejected

Charleroi Borough Council has rejected an offer from the Authority of the Borough of Charleroi to purchase its sewer lines and the borough’s MS4 project. During a special meeting Tuesday to adopt a 2023 spending plan — which passed with a 3-mill take hike — council members voted down an offer from ABC after weeks of discussion between the two entities regarding a borough-desired asset evaluation, potential sale and a subsequent offer recently put on the table.
