Monessen church urges action in memory of Martin Luther King Jr.

Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Monessen commemorated Martin Luther King Jr. on Sunday with a sermon from the church’s pastor, Bishop Karl Jackson, and speeches from five of his young grandchildren.  The United States celebrates Martin Luther King Jr. Day today, but King’s birthday was Sunday. He was assassinated in 1968, at the height of the civil rights movement.
