Two hurt in Charleroi fire

Firefighters responded to a structure fire early Tuesday morning in Charleroi. According to Charleroi Fire Chief Robert Whiten Jr., crews were called to the 700 block of McKean Avenue around 3:45 a.m. Charleroi Regional Police were first to arrive on scene. Whiten said three officers helped two residents evacuate and made sure neighboring structures were vacant before firefighters arrived.
