Ringgold School District administrators answered questions from board members about improving student academics and behavioral issues in a non-voting meeting Wednesday.
District leaders scheduled the meeting to follow last week’s midyear review, wherein they compared student performance on recent district administered assessments with tests given at the start of the school year.
Administrators said they hoped the meeting would invite discussion between board members, faculty and the public.
“It is not a voting meeting,” Superintendent Randy Skrinjorich said. “So there is no action being taken tonight. It’s only for information and discussion about topics in the agenda.”
Like many schools across the country, the district has struggled with learning loss following the pandemic. To remedy subpar test scores, the district implemented a three-pronged curriculum to help students.
