Charles ‘Chuck’ Randolph – Finleyville

By obits

Charles “Chuck” Randolph, 88, of Finleyville, died peacefully on Jan. 14, 2023. He was born on Sept. 13, 1934, to William and Lola Randolph of Clairton, and was the youngest of six children. Most of his childhood was spent in Clairton, where he created many fond memories. Upon graduation from Clairton High School, he enlisted in the United States Navy and served during the Korean War. The skills he acquired during his time in the service enabled him to obtain a lucrative position at the RCA Corporation, where he enjoyed working for many years, and at Bayer Corporation, from which he retired. Chuck was an avid hunter and fisherman and a longtime supporter and member of the NRA. Other than time spent with his family, nothing made him happier than being outside. One of his favorite pastimes was sitting around a campfire, regaling family and friends with fond stories of the past. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and son, as well as a great storyteller. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Susan (Martis), and his beloved son, Mark Randolph. Surviving Chuck are his three daughters, Linda (Don) Ashbaugh of Belle Vernon, Lisa Randolph (Bill Bright) of Monongahela and Michele Kavalir of Mount Lebanon. He also is survived by six grandchildren, Christopher (Jennifer) Adamson, Lauren (Jeff) Gilmore and Francesca, Jackson, Tanner and Serena Kavalir; as well as six great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, Charles had requested that donations be made in his name to Shriners Hospitals for Children. Friends will be received at MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME, 216 Chess St., Monongahela, 724-258-6767, from 2 to 5:45 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2023, at which time a service will begin with the Rev. Regis Turocy officiating. Condolences can be made online at marshallmarrafuneralhome.com.
