Gloria Sawa, 97, of Donora, died Saturday, Jan. 14, 2023, at Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital in Carroll Township. She was born Sept. 3, 1925, in North Charleroi, daughter of the late Dino Rosini and the late Alice Zandarelli Rosini. She was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Parish. Gloria retired from Corning Glass, where she was employed as a purchasing clerk. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank J. Sawa; and her brother, Roland Rosini. Surviving to cherish her memory are her son, Scott Sawa and his wife Connie; her grandson, Matthew Sawa; sister-in-law, JoAnne Rossini; niece, Maria (James) Greaves; and great-nieces and great-nephews. Arrangements have been entrusted to ANTHONY L. MASSAFRA FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE INC., 40 Second St. Ext., Donora, PA 15033, 724-379-6900, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2023. Funeral services will be held at Anthony L. Massafra Funeral Home and Cremation Service Inc. at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, 2023. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Monongahela.
