James G. Nahas Jr. – Carroll Township
James G. Nahas Jr., 88, of Carroll Township, passed away on Monday, Jan. 2, 2023, at home. He was born on May 1, 1934, in Charle- roi, the son of the late James and Victoria Nahas. He was a member of Epiphany of our Lord Church, Charleroi-Monongahela Masons Lodge No. 337 and the YMCA. He was a 1952 graduate of Charleroi High School and graduated with a bachelor’s degree from California Teachers College. He was a retired teacher from Baldwin Whitehall High School, where he ran the math department. He served his country and was a United States Army veteran. Surviving are his loving wife of 63 years, Helen Giovagnorio Nahas; three daughters, Lori Nahas of Charleroi, Pamela (Ivan) Schrank of Monroeville and Cindy (Mark) Pellis of Bethel Park; sister, Lillian Nard of Cleveland; six grandchildren; along with numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Nicholas Schrank; brother, Richard Nahas; and three sisters, Selma Nahas, Jeanette Haddad and Elaine Gnora. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, 2023, at DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC. AND CREMATION SERVICES, 441 Reed Ave., Monessen. Services will be held Friday beginning with a blessing service at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by a Mass at noon at Epiphany of our Lord Church with the Rev. Michael J.
