Potential sale of sewer system remains on hold

Charleroi Borough is still trying to decide if it should have its own evaluation done of its sewer system — as negotiations concerning a deal to sell the system to the Authority of the Borough of Charleroi are in limbo. The borough turned down a $2 million offer from the authority after being advised it needs to investigate to find out if the presented offer is a fair price. ABC officials have since taken steps to have their own evaluation of the sewer lines completed to back up their offer to the borough, but the work is not yet finished.
