Poor third quarter dooms Charleroi in loss to Brownsville

In basketball, a two-minute stretch can sometimes determine the outcome of a game. In Tuesday night’s Section 4-3A matchup against host Brownsville, Charleroi played an efficient first half and was only down by seven at halftime. The opening two minutes of the second half turned the tide, but not in the Cougars’ favor. The Falcons scored the opening seven points and won the third quarter, 24-9, in a 69-55 setback for the Cougars.
