McKeesport police show support for Sluganski

In McKeesport and its surrounding municipalities there is a phrase that refers to school, community and team spirit: “Once a Tiger, always a Tiger.” The spirit of that message could be felt in the air Monday night as a large group of retired and current police officers from the McKeesport area gathered in the parking lot at White Oak American Legion. Countless people have shown up at a Brentwood funeral home the past two days — some waiting in line for hours — to pay their respects for slain McKeesport police Officer Sean Sluganski. On Monday night, Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 91 of Allegheny County held a service at the funeral home, as is tradition when an officer is killed in the line of duty.
