‘Controlled demolition’ of EF auditorium begins

A group of local and state officials met Thursday at Elizabeth Forward High School to provide an update on where things stand in the aftermath of Sunday’s fire. Cranes from Allegheny Crane Rental and other heavy equipment was brought on site early Thursday. As morning turned to lunchtime, two construction workers could be seen atop a lift doing work on and around the roof. They appeared to be dismantling parts of the auditorium by hand.
