Brewster leading bipartisan effort for expressway

A state lawmaker from the Mon Valley, backed by a bipartisan team of other local state lawmakers, is calling on Pennsylvania’s new governor to push for completion of the Mon-Fayette Expressway. In a release to the media Friday, state Sen. Jim Brewster, D-McKeesport, announced he is “leading a bipartisan effort to push for expedited completion of the long-delayed Mon-Fayette Expressway.” In a letter to Gov. Josh Shapiro, Brewster and a group of Southwest Pennsylvania senators are asking the administration to consider using federal infrastructure funds to speed completion of the final section of the roadway.
