Fundraiser for flooded businesses has nearly doubled original goal

The Monongahela Historical Society continues to raise money for small businesses that sustained flooding damage from a water main break in the city. The break near Fourth and Main streets flooded multiple small businesses last month, forcing weeks-long shutdowns. Tattoo Savior and Dusty’s Discounts — the two stores hit hardest — are still closed, while Zimmer Printing, Julie’s Hair Haven, Lynda’s Main Street Salon and Little City Coffee have reopened.
