Eagle Scout project upgrades Chess Park memorial

Chess Park in Monongahela got an upgrade over the weekend, thanks to a local high school senior. For his Eagle Scout project, Finleyville native Noah Winberg constructed a walking platform around the military memorial near the northwest corner of the park. The new layout invites park-goers to linger at the memorial while they walk through one of the city’s beloved public spaces.
