Skating fundraiser aids McKeesport officers

The board of the McKeesport Little Tigers hosted “Rolling with our Heroes” at Eden Park Skating Rink Thursday to raise money for the families of two city policemen. Local residents flocked to the rink to support the fundraiser, which benefited the families of slain Officer Sean Sluganski and wounded Officer Chuck Thomas. Sluganski and Thomas were both shot in the line of duty early this month. Organizers said they planned the event shortly after the shooting and voiced strong support for local police following the tragedy.
