Annette Louise Mangino MacPherson – Monongahela
Annette Louise Mangino MacPherson, 67, of Monongahela, met our Lord Jesus Christ on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2023, at UPMC Shady-side Hospital surrounded by her family and loved ones. She was born Jan. 1, 1956, in Monongahela, the first baby born in Washington County that year. Annette was the daughter of the late Francis “Sonny” and Susan Ross Mangino and stepdaughter to the late Carl C. Snodgrass. Annette worked as a talented barber and hair stylist for 47 years up until her passing. She was an avid and devoted member of St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church in Monongahela. She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, James Scott MacPherson; her son, James Ross MacPherson (Amanda Kahl MacPherson) of Monongahela; her daughter, Lauren Elizabeth Horning (James Horning) of Donora; and three granddaughters, Isabella Suzanne, Arianna Irene and Veronika Louise. Annette was blessed with seven siblings and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. Survived are Richard Mangino (Cathy) of Monongahela, their children, Julietta (John), Annette’s goddaughter, Melissa (Brian) and Francis; Louis Mangino (Debra) of Monongahela, their son, Gianni; Joseph Snodgrass decreased of Linesville, his children Joseph (Amy) and Jill; David Snodgrass deceased (Debbie) of Monongahela, their children, Heather (Robert) and Lynn (Sean); Mark Snodgrass (Annette) of Monongahela, their children, Valerie (Christopher), Tracey (Brad) and Carl (Jess); Susan Dipaola (Anthony) of Champion, their children, Annette’s godson, Anthony Jr. (Jessica), Joshua (Cassie) and Tyler (Nikki) and Matthew Snodgrass (Diane Ronsicki) of Roscoe; her sister-in-law, Peg MacPherson Jacobs (Jack Jacobs, deceased) and her brother-in-law, Tom MacPherson (Barb). Annette is also survived by her beloved cousin, Christine Bowker (David) of Monongahela, their children, Annette’s godson, Ryan (Lauren), Ross (Chelsy) and Sara (Corey). Annette was grateful to be blessed with a large extended family of cousins, great-nieces and nephews, notably Leonard Dipaola Jr. (Barbara) of Naples, Fla., and Phillip Ross (Joyce) of Peters Township. Annette is also survived by her uncle Phillip Ross (Debbie) of Monongahela. She was preceded in death by her beloved aunt and uncle, Leonard and Antoinette Dipaola; her grandmother, Sunda Ross; her mother and father-in-law, James and Dorothy MacPherson; her great-niece, Jocelyn Dipaola; and a great-nephew, Maximus Till. A memorial Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 722 W. Main St., Monongahela, at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 4, 2023, followed by inurnment at Monongahela Cemetery.
