McKeesport Little City Theater plans to exhilarate audiences this month with its production of “Deathtrap.”
The cerebral thriller is known as one of Broadway’s most successful shows and features diabolical characters, looping plot twists, foiled schemes and murder most foul.
“It’s a brilliant show,” director Logan Tombo said. “It’s a complicated one to put on. I’ve been amazed at the cast and crew and their hard work and skill throughout the production.”
“It’s been a passion project for us,” stage manager and production designer Bryana Zanotelli said. “If we didn’t love it so much, it would have felt very tedious to put on.”
Show times for “Deathtrap” are 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and March 17 and 18, as well as 2 p.m. Sunday and March 19. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased online, at the door or by calling Little City Theater at 412-673-1100.
McKeesport Little City Theater is located at 1614 Coursin St., McKeesport.
Written by Ira Levin, the story is set in the ’70s and follows washed-up playwright Sidney Bruhl, played by Andrew Lasswell, and wife Myra Bruhl, played by Amy Melissen.
