Monessen students learn how water is made safe to drink

Fifth-graders at Monessen Elementary Center got a lesson Thursday on one of our most important resources: drinking water. Students in Jenn Gardner’s class learned directly from the source, Chad Warfield, director of operations for the Authority of the Borough of Charleroi. He talked to students about where the water they drink every day comes from and the process involved to make it safe and usable.
