Forward Twp. jazz concert planned for June

Forward Township officials learned about an upcoming community event and expressed their satisfaction with local emergency services during a meeting Monday night. Resident Amy Cline said that in conjunction with the Community Days committee, a 16-piece big band jazz group will present a concert from 6:30-8 p.m. June 7 at Gallatin Sunnyside Park in Forward Township through the Pittsburgh Musicians Union. Funding for the show has come from grant money and private donations from residents, according to Cline.
