Man ‘remorseful’ at sentencing for role in near-fatal bar fight

A Donora man who maintains that he was defending himself in a North Belle Vernon bar fight that injured three was sentenced Thursday to 23 1/2 to 47 years in a state prison. Eric Cook, 46, apologized during a sentencing hearing. “I feel remorseful for what happened,” he said in asking for leniency. “I didn’t intend to hurt anybody.”
