‘Slugfest’ will honor Sluganski, Thomas

The McKeesport community has been out in full force to support fallen officer Sean Sluganski and Officer Chuck Thomas and their families. Now, the city’s youth and hundreds of ballplayers from the surrounding area will play the sport they love as a fundraiser. McKeesport Baseball Tournaments will present “Slugfest,” a 43-team youth baseball tournament to raise funds to contribute to the Officer Sluganski Memorial Fund and to support the ongoing recovery of Thomas.
