Leopards pummel Gladiators, 17-1

Entering the bottom of the fourth inning in its second game of the day Saturday, the Belle Vernon Area softball team held a 5-1 lead over South Allegheny after allowing a run in the top half of the frame. The Gladiators never got the third out of the inning, as the Leopards scored 12 runs to end the game in four innings with a 17-1 victory in the MVI First Pitch showcase at James Weir Stadium.
