A recent incident involving a stray bullet from a malfunctioning firearm and a Donora police officer resulted in a broken window at the borough fire hall. Donora police Chief Neal Rands confirmed the story, saying no one was hurt in the incident. “The gun in question — a type of Glock — had issues,” Rands said. “They racked it multiple times, they did everything right to make the gun safe. But weapons malfunction sometimes. I’m happy no one was hurt.”
