Rostraver resident questions status of updates on landfill

Rostraver Township commissioners fielded more concerns about the Westmoreland Sanitary Landfill and urged residents to get out and vote ahead of the May 16 primary election during Wednesday night’s regular meeting.
Township resident Jack Kruell, a vocal opponent of practices at the Westmoreland Sanitary Landfill, which has been cited for violations on leachate, leachate control and odor, said the public should know what is going on at the Tyrol Boulevard facility.
