No. 4 Belle Vernon stuns No. 2 Montour to win fifth WPIAL title

For the fifth time in program history, Belle Vernon Area and head coach Tom Rodriguez hoisted the WPIAL championship trophy Wednesday. After a marathon game, clocking in at three hours and 14 minutes, the No. 4 Leopards pulled out a thrilling 8-7 victory over No. 2 Montour to capture the 4A crown with a spectacular play at the plate for the final out in the eighth inning.
