First responders preparing for Mon Valley Night Out

The Mon Valley community will have a chance to celebrate its first responders and prizes during this year’s Mon Valley Night Out. From 6 to 9 p.m. Aug. 1 at DiVirgilio Sports Complex in Rostraver Township, police officers, firefighters and EMTs from Rostraver/Belle Vernon, Charleroi, Monessen, Donora, Monongahela and Carroll Township will come together to encourage positive interactions between first responders and children in the community. The event will have an Aug. 4 rain date.
