In the wake of recent tragedies in the Monessen community, a powderpuff football game has been organized to act as a fundraiser and provide some fun for students. The event, which is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Sunday at Monessen’s Memorial Stadium, will raise money for the family of Amari Altomore, who tragically died in November after he was shot, and Mason Madzey, son of Monessen Elementary Center Assistant Principal Donald Madzey who was diagnosed with childhood brain cancer.
