Darla McLaughlin, 73, of Charleroi passed away on Monday, July 10, 2023, at her home. Born on Sept. 12, 1949, in Charle- roi, she was the daughter of Jack and Arlene Bondi DeSellems. Darla was a bartender for several years at the Charleroi American Legion and the former Eagles and Painters Clubs in Charleroi. She enjoyed baking for her family and watching cooking shows. When the former Charleroi VFW was open, she could always be found there on Saturday nights for the dances. She was a Christian, enjoyed life to the fullest and loved her family. Darla is survived by her daughter, Denise Bailey of Charleroi; her long-time boyfriend, Larry Martin; five grandchildren, David Girimonte, Kenneth Girimonte, Crystal Chalfant, Craig Poe and Sabrina Hewitt; 11 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Diane Baker and Debbie Byron; and two brothers, Ronnie DeSellems and Jack DeSellems. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Renee Chalfant; a granddaughter, Michele Girimonte; a sister, Dorean Consenary; and brother, David DeSellems.
