Top-seeded Elite Physical Therapy will play for its second straight title in the Mon Valley Independent Summer Basketball League’s boys division when it faces off against second-seeded Dax Thomas State Farm 8 p.m. tonight at Marx’s Court Time Sports Center.
EPT (9-2) and State Farm (9-2) split their regular season series. State Farm snapped EPT’s 17-game winning streak in their second meeting of the season.
The teams met in last year’s title game with EPT concluding a 12-0 campaign with a championship.
“We have to play quality defense, be unselfish and play for each other,” said EPT head coach Vada Epps, who will coach in his third MVISBL title game.
“We can’t go into this game thinking we’re better than anybody. It’s the last game of the season, so we wanna go in and play hard.”
