EF ready for a fresh start this school year

School is back in session today for Elizabeth Forward students, with new curriculum and programs awaiting them.
District Superintendent Keith Konyk discussed several changes catered to younger students in the district, including the Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) framework for grades K-2.
“(MTSS) takes data, so we’re making data-informed decisions, on kids’ strengths and weaknesses, and it gives them interventions if they’re struggling, it will give them enrichment opportunities if they’re already doing well, so we can maybe give them stuff that’s ahead of their grade level if that’s what they need at the time,” Konyk said. “So the MTSS is really aligned with our personalized learning … to help these kids because it’s going to get detailed information on their strengths and weaknesses and help to address those things.
