Some parents plan to oppose hiring of BVA superintendent

The Belle Vernon Area School District is planning to hire a new superintendent during a special school board meeting Tuesday, but some residents are unhappy with the candidate. The board is expected to vote on Timothy Glasspool as the new superintendent. He held the same role in the Plum School District in 2015 when a scandal surfaced in the district as three teachers pleaded guilty to having sex with students.
