Handball on the beach in Puerto Rico

Hola from San Juan, Puerto Rico where the USA competed in the International Balonmano de Playa Beach Handball Tournament!
This was my first time playing for the United States Beach Handball Team. What makes this selection extra special is I became the youngest player to ever be selected for Team USA’s beach handball squad.
What is beach handball, you might ask?
The team is made up of 10 players in offensive and defensive positions including a goalie.
“Spectacular” goals such as alley-oops and 360s are worth two points, making for an exciting and fast-paced game.
Coming from a basketball and indoor handball background, I found that my skills are easily transferable to the passing and game strategy needed for the intense, smaller-court environment of beach handball.
