Grants allow Glassport to upgrade police department

Glassport’s police department will receive some improvements, including a new vehicle, updated computers and IT improvements. At Tuesday night’s meeting, Glassport council announced that state Rep. Nick Pisciottano secured a $62,000 DCED grant for the borough to purchase a Ford Expedition, and state Sen. Jim Brewster acquired a $80,000 DCED grant for upgrades to IT for the borough’s police.
