Jerome Curtis Pryor Sr. – Donora

On Sept. 16, 2023, Jerome Curtis Pryor Sr. declared the struggle was over. Jerome was born Feb. 13, 1957, in West Newton to David D. and Almeda K. Pryor. Jerome graduated from Ringgold High School in 1976 and then entered the U.S. Army. Among his decorations were the Marksman and Sharpshooter medals. He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Almeda; brother, David Pryor Jr.; and sister, Cynthia Pryor Crews. He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Jason and Jermaine Allen of Donora, Shonte Allen of Homestead, Jerome C. Pryor Jr. of Monessen and Shameka Ollis of Greenville, N.C. Jerome also leaves to mourn 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and numerous children and grandchildren from the heart who will truly miss him. Surviving are his sisters, Phyllis Pryor of Chola Vista, Calif., Gina and Robert Huggins of Donora and Brenda and Arthur Simpson of Monessen, and Kim Crane or McKeesport; brothers, Anthony Marshall of McKeesport and Marshall Mickle of McKees Rocks; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, 2023, at the Rostraver Township No. 1 Webster Social Hall, 952 PA-Route 906 south, Webster, PA 15087. Private entombment will be held at a later date at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, with full military rites.
