Former Monessen mayor clashes with council over past record

Former state representative and former mayor Ted Harhai attended last week’s Monessen council meeting and said he wanted to correct a few things. First, he said Councilman Tony Orzechowski made a mistake by saying former mayor Lou Mavrakis didn’t appoint himself to the redevelopment authority, and then quoted an article in the Mon Valley Independent stating Mavrakis did appoint himself.
