Tigers look to knock Quips off 4A throne

Ahead of tonight’s WPIAL Class 4A Championship at Acrisure Stadium against No. 1-seeded Aliquippa, McKeesport head coach Matt Miller acknowledged that his program has seen plenty of district semifinal games, but not so many finals. Aliquippa (11-0) comes into the game having made 16 consecutive trips to what was formerly Heinz Field, while the No. 2-seeded Tigers (11-1) last made it to the title game in 2016 and suffered a 38-37 overtime loss against West Allegheny.
