Red Kettle Campaign aids Valley residents all year long

One sign of the holiday season has long been the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign and bell ringers outside many grocery stores and retail outlets, but many people don’t realize it’s not really a Christmas fundraiser. The Red Kettle Campaign got its start more than 130 years ago in San Francisco as a way to feed the city’s hungry. It has grown to become the largest fundraiser available to local Salvation Army branches. The funds raised each year keep each branch’s programs operating for another year.
