Season begins today with Shootout Classic

The Charleroi Area High School gymnasium will be a popular destination for fans of local high school hoops this weekend. The third annual Mon Valley Independent Shootout Classic will feature nine area squads in a two-day showcase at the home of the Cougars. The participating teams are Belle Vernon Area, Charleroi, Clairton, Elizabeth Forward, McKeesport, Ringgold, Serra Catholic, South Allegheny and Thomas Jefferson.
